Whenever I come out of an airconditioned building or bus my camera lens and viewfinder got fogged up due to cool temperature. I end up unable to shoot photos immediately and wait it out for about 15 minutes to half an hour.

Question : In such situations what do you guys do to beat lens fogging? Is it advisable to wipe out the frost on the lens or just wait it out?

I do the same thing. Not sure if there is a better way to deal with it.

See you tomorrow.

Thanks for the info.

I saw some photographers years back, use small pieces of newspaper to wipe up the moisture off the lens. They say it is safe. I tried it several times on my lenses (actually it is the UV filter Im wiping not the lens itself) but I'm not recommending it here.

I tried using a cotton lens cloth from the optical shop but some fiber residues remain on the lens afterwards.

I just bought a lens pen sa online store sa abu dhabi mall, cost about 75 dirhams and I will start using this.

Most people wipe the lens front element or the uv protection filter screwed in front of it. Wiping with tiny bots if newspaper was also suggested to me by a pro photographer (if there is no other option). Print on the newspapers carry carbon something that will absorb most things and the lens. Even if its water and moisture or the dust that comes with it.Lens penis a better option but out of stock pa sa abu dhabi mall. In some situations, I go out on high noon of the Office or taxi with Airconditioning system into full dial, the camera goes all foggy and the camera body all wet. Even the viewfinder at the back and the lens filter as well as the front element of the lens will get massive moisture. Also, some online friends told me, with pentamirror cameras, the moisture and the fog on the system seems a bit more dense. In most cases I wait, but if I get excited with new things to shoot, I wipe it up with  a micro fibre cloth around(10dhs - big sheet) or the thin white paper that goes with the lens cleaning kit available in most camera shops. Or you can use the cloth that goes with the reading glasses. Makes it dry more quickly, then im ready to go.
