Guys the nikon BR2A reverse ring adapter is now available at Grand Stores Abu Dhabi Mall. Cost 65 Dirhams, 1 piece left.

I just went there a while ago to check whether the rubber hood HR2 for my nikkor 50mm lens is already in stock, and when browsing at the accessories section I happen to see the BR2A reverse ring adapter.

Info about the BR2A is discussed at these links.

Since one of the coming photoshoot theme is macro photography then for all those who have the nikon standard non macro kit lens 18-55mm or prime lenses with a 52mm filter adapters, you will be able to shoot in macro.

This is a practical inexpensive approach to macro photography.

However there is a downside for this method.

1.  You may have to set your metering and focusing in manual mode. (This is a common practice in macro photography)

2.  You have to stop down your aperture setting to get a good picture. Therefore you need to provide more light to your subject.

This link shows some sample macro shot photos using the reverse ring adapter.

It's all about the light, seeing it, creating it, controlling it and using it expressively... Greg Heisler
